In support of International Women’s Day on 8th March, we are calling for our wonderful community of trailblazing women to help show their support for this year’s campaign: #BreakTheBias.
In honour of International Women’s Day being a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, we thought a feel-good way to mark this important day would be to show our appreciation for women out there in our community that we think deserve recognition.
All we ask is that you head over to our Instagram page or LinkedIn page and tag the person you’d like to celebrate, giving the reasons why you think they’re awesome – remember to include the #BreakTheBias.
Let’s litter social media with positivity and uphold one another on this significant day!
We know that spreading love and recognition will be motivation enough, yet just in case you need an extra nudge to do a kind deed, we will be selecting a nominee at random and giving them a business boost worth thousands of pounds – so not only will you be giving the person you nominate a virtual high five you’ll also be entering them into a fabulous competition too (what a double bubble!).
Thanks to the generosity of marketing strategist, Alison Jobson of Straight Marketing, and branding guru, Kayleigh Lloyd from Lloyd Creative, one lucky person will be getting strategic marketing advice FOR FREE and a brand audit and branding (or logo redesign) FOR FREE too. Ding dong!
So, spread that appreciation and hit up social media like your life depended on it!
Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
We can break the bias in our communities.
We can break the bias in our workplaces.
We can break the bias in our schools, colleges and universities.
Together, we can all break the bias – on International Women’s Day (IWD) and beyond.
Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.
Are you in? Will you actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping each time you see it?
Strike the IWD #BreakTheBias pose
Will you help break the bias?
Cross your arms to show solidarity.
Strike the IWD 2022 pose and share your #BreakTheBias image, on social media using #IWD2022 #BreakTheBias to encourage further people to commit to helping forge an inclusive world. Please also tag @sixdegreesexeter so we can share and like the photos too!
We cannot wait to announce the winner, so get tagging lovelies!
